Keeping the “Community” in Community College


Rising costs and tough budgets are real concerns, but we have to be sensitive to the feel and identity of each campus. Community colleges have worked hard to build relationships with local employers and students. They know who’s hiring. They design courses and schedules to fit their students’ needs. We need to make sure that when we cut costs, we do so in a way that keeps the “community” in community college.
